Early this morning, Mark Zuckerberg announced that his new app called Threads has over 2 million sign-ups in 2 hours, making it the most downloaded app in the shortest time for a new app.
I signed up immediately after I saw it on a friend's Instagram story, probably because of FOMO(fear of missing out). I am enjoying it so far.
It’s fresh, no toxicity yet, and people are kinder for now. Many people who didn’t make it on Twitter already say this might be their chance since it's new.

The thing you should know is that it is strongly tied to Instagram.
To sign up, you can use your Instagram account and show to follow all the people you follow on Instagram.
So most celebrities and people who have built a community on Instagram already have a huge advantage regarding followers.
Deleting your threads account has a huge risk if you signed up using your Instagram account. You have to delete your Instagram account to delete your Threads account.
